The Ethicon Coated VICRYL Plus Antibacterial (Polyglactin 910) Suture range from Ethicon consists of absorbable braided surgical sutures designed to provide dependable wound support while helping to reduce bacterial colonisation at the suture line.

Manufactured from polyglactin 910 and coated with triclosan, VICRYL Plus sutures combine predictable absorption with antibacterial protection during the critical early stages of wound healing. The braided construction offers excellent handling, pliability and knot security, while the coating enhances smooth passage through tissue and consistent knot performance.

Coated VICRYL Plus Antibacterial sutures are widely used in general surgery, gynaecological procedures, paediatric surgery and soft tissue approximation where absorbable support and infection risk reduction are clinically beneficial.
