The Ethicon MONOCRYL (Poliglecaprone 25) Suture range from Ethicon consists of absorbable monofilament surgical sutures designed for precise soft tissue approximation with excellent handling characteristics and predictable absorption.

Manufactured from poliglecaprone 25, MONOCRYL sutures provide high initial tensile strength followed by rapid and predictable absorption, making them ideal for applications requiring short- to medium-term wound support. The monofilament construction allows smooth passage through tissue, reduced tissue drag and minimal inflammatory response.

MONOCRYL sutures are commonly used for subcuticular closure, skin closure, plastic surgery, paediatric procedures and other soft tissue applications where cosmetic outcomes and reliable absorption are important.
