Ethicon SURGIFLO Haemostatic Matrix - Flowable Absorbable Surgical Hemostat

SURGIFLO™ Haemostatic Matrix is a flowable absorbable haemostat designed to assist in the control of capillary, venous and small arterial bleeding during surgical procedures. Unlike sheet or sponge-based haemostats, SURGIFLO™ features a flowable gelatin matrix that conforms to irregular wound geometries and complex surgical sites.

The matrix is composed of absorbable gelatin granules that, when prepared and applied, create a cohesive haemostatic barrier. Its flowable consistency allows precise delivery into confined, difficult-to-access or anatomically complex areas where traditional haemostatic fabrics or sponges may be less effective.

SURGIFLO™ is intended for adjunctive haemostasis when conventional methods such as pressure, ligation or cautery are ineffective or impractical. The material is fully absorbable and is gradually resorbed by the body during the healing process.
