The Q-Close Synth Absorbable Braided Surgical Suture is a premium synthetic absorbable suture made from polyglactin 910, engineered to deliver consistent tensile strength, secure knot integrity and smooth tissue passage for dependable soft tissue closure.

Manufactured with a braided multifilament structure and coating of polyglactin 370 and calcium stearate, Synth offers enhanced handling characteristics, reduced tissue drag and predictable absorption behaviour — making it ideal for a wide range of clinical surgical applications where reliable wound approximation is essential.

Synth retains approximately 50% of tensile strength at 21 days and undergoes complete hydrolytic absorption within about 56–70 days, providing dependable short-term wound support while reducing foreign body presence as healing progresses. Its secure knot performance and consistent absorption profile make it suited to both routine and specialised procedures requiring precision and reliability.

Indications for use include general surgical soft tissue approximation, obstetrics and gynaecology closures, paediatric soft tissue repair, plastic and reconstructive surgery, orthopaedic soft tissue procedures, mucosal closures and visceral closures where absorbable support with excellent handling is beneficial.
