The Ethicon MONOCRYL™ PLUS Antibacterial Suture MCP4930H is a sterile synthetic absorbable monofilament suture manufactured from poliglecaprone 25, designed for precise soft tissue approximation and ligation.

MONOCRYL™ PLUS sutures incorporate IRGACARE® MP (triclosan), a broad-spectrum antibacterial agent shown in vitro to inhibit bacterial colonisation on the suture surface. This antimicrobial protection helps reduce the risk of microbial attachment to the suture during the critical wound healing period.

The monofilament construction allows smooth tissue passage with minimal tissue trauma while reducing the potential for bacterial adherence compared with braided sutures.

This version of MONOCRYL™ PLUS is supplied undyed, providing a clear monofilament option where minimal visual contrast is preferred during delicate surgical procedures.

Poliglecaprone 25 has been shown to be non-antigenic, non-pyrogenic and associated with minimal tissue reaction during absorption, making it suitable for delicate tissue closure.

The suture is supplied attached to a stainless steel P-3 needle and packaged sterile for single-use surgical procedures.
