MONOCRYL™ sutures are produced from a copolymer of glycolide and ε-caprolactone, providing excellent handling characteristics, reliable knot security and smooth tissue passage.

The monofilament structure minimises tissue drag and reduces the potential for bacterial adherence compared with braided sutures, making it suitable for delicate tissue approximation.

This version of MONOCRYL™ is supplied undyed, providing a clear monofilament option often preferred for procedures requiring minimal visual contrast.

Poliglecaprone 25 has been shown to be non-antigenic, non-pyrogenic and associated with minimal tissue reaction during absorption, making MONOCRYL™ sutures suitable for delicate tissue closure.

The suture is supplied attached to a stainless steel PS-4C PRIME needle and packaged sterile for single-use surgical procedures.

MONOCRYL™ sutures are widely used in general surgery, plastic surgery, dermatologic procedures and subcuticular skin closure where smooth tissue passage and predictable absorption are required.
