Ethicon PDS II is a sterile, synthetic, absorbable monofilament surgical suture composed of polydioxanone. The monofilament structure provides smooth tissue passage, minimal tissue drag and prolonged tensile strength retention to support extended wound healing.

This USP 4-0 undyed suture is supplied in a 45 cm (18 inch) length and is armed with a single-armed PC-5 PRIME MP conventional cutting needle measuring 19 mm with a 3/8 circle curvature, designed to deliver sharp, controlled penetration for precise skin and superficial tissue closure.

PDS II sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis and provide extended wound support compared to braided absorbable sutures, resulting in minimal tissue reaction and predictable strength retention over time. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 12 for professional hospital and clinical environments.
