Designed for adjunctive haemostasis, SURGICEL™ NU-KNIT™ assists in the control of capillary, venous and small arterial haemorrhage when conventional methods such as ligation or cautery are impractical or ineffective.

Upon contact with blood, the material forms a gelatinous mass that supports clot formation and provides a physical matrix for haemostasis. The oxidised regenerated cellulose is fully absorbable and gradually resorbed by the body during healing.
