Designed for adjunctive haemostasis, SURGICEL™ assists in the control of capillary, venous and small arterial haemorrhage when ligation or conventional haemostatic methods are impractical or ineffective.

Upon contact with blood, SURGICEL™ Original forms a gelatinous mass that supports clot formation and provides a physical matrix to promote haemostasis. The material is fully absorbable and is gradually resorbed by the body over time, eliminating the need for removal.

The 10 × 20 cm format provides broad surface coverage suitable for larger operative fields and bleeding sites that are difficult to access.
