The Ethicon SURGICEL™ SNoW 10.2 × 10.2 cm Absorbable Hemostat (2093) is a sterile haemostatic agent composed of oxidised regenerated cellulose (ORC) in a structured non-woven fabric format. Designed for adjunctive haemostasis, SNoW assists in the control of capillary, venous and small arterial haemorrhage when conventional methods such as ligation or cautery are impractical or ineffective.

The structured non-woven design enhances conformability and surface contact, allowing the material to adapt efficiently to irregular tissue surfaces and difficult-to-access bleeding sites. This format offers improved handling and controlled placement in surgical environments requiring reliable haemostatic performance.

Upon contact with blood, SURGICEL™ SNoW forms a gelatinous mass that provides a matrix for platelet adhesion and aggregation, facilitating clot formation. The material is fully absorbable and gradually resorbed by the body during the healing process.

The 10.2 × 10.2 cm format provides expanded surface coverage suitable for moderate to larger operative fields. Supplied sterile and ready to use directly from the package, product code 2093 is intended for professional surgical use and should be stored at controlled room temperature (15°–30°C).
