This USP 6-0 violet suture is supplied in a 45 cm length and is armed with a single-armed 13 mm reverse cutting needle featuring a 3/8 circle curvature. The reverse cutting needle positions the cutting edge on the outer curvature, reducing the risk of tissue cut-out while enabling controlled penetration of tougher tissues such as skin.

VICRYL sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, providing predictable and gradual loss of tensile strength as healing progresses while minimising tissue reaction.
