Ethicon VICRYL is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910 and coated to enhance handling characteristics while reducing tissue drag during placement.

This USP 6-0 violet suture is supplied in a 75 cm length and is armed with a single-armed 13 mm TaperCut CC needle with a 3/8 circle curvature. The TaperCut CC needle features a tapered body with a cutting point, allowing smooth initial penetration followed by controlled tissue passage, supporting precise placement in delicate soft tissues.

VICRYL sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, providing predictable and gradual loss of tensile strength as healing progresses while minimising tissue reaction. The braided construction ensures excellent handling and secure knot performance. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 36 for professional hospital and clinical environments.
