INTERCEED™ TC7 Absorbable Adhesion Barrier – 7.6cm x 10.2cm

INTERCEED™ (TC7) is a sterile, single-use absorbable adhesion barrier designed to reduce the formation of post-operative adhesions following open gynecological pelvic surgery. The device is manufactured from oxidised regenerated cellulose and forms a temporary physical barrier between adjacent tissues during the critical healing phase.

When applied after meticulous haemostasis, INTERCEED™ separates traumatized tissues during the peritoneal healing period, helping prevent tissue surfaces from adhering to each other. The material gradually absorbs within the body after fulfilling its protective role.

Post-operative adhesions occur in a high proportion of pelvic surgical procedures and can lead to complications such as chronic pelvic pain, infertility, bowel obstruction and difficult re-operations. Clinical studies have demonstrated that the use of INTERCEED™ adhesion barrier can significantly reduce the incidence of adhesion formation compared with surgical technique alone.

The TC7 7.6cm x 10.2cm format provides convenient coverage for targeted adhesion prevention in open pelvic procedures.

INTERCEED™ is widely used in gynecology, fertility surgery, ovarian surgery, tubal surgery and endometriosis procedures, where adhesion prevention is clinically important.
