Absorption occurs by hydrolysis, resulting in predictable tensile strength retention during the critical early phases of wound healing with minimal tissue reaction.

This USP 2-0 violet suture is supplied in a 250 cm (98 inch) non-needled Ligapak configuration, designed for ligation and soft tissue approximation procedures where a needle is not required. The extended length allows controlled ligature placement and efficient surgical workflow in general and specialist procedures.
